Bone Clones® Australopithecus afarensis Lucy Jaw

This jawbone is a replica from the skull of "Lucy". The original skull specimen was discovered by Donald Johanson in 1974 in Ethiopia. The early human skeleton, known as Lucy, is 3.2 million years old. The reconstruction of "Lucy's jaw" was based on photos, descriptions, and casts of original bones. Educational tools such as this jaw from the skull of "Lucy" and bring anthropology to life in the classroom.
