The Franck-Hertz Experiment demonstrates the quantization of energy, existence of discrete atomic energy states, and the generation, recording, and evaluation of spectra. This Power Supply Unit is required for the proper operation of the Mercury-filled Tubes (U8482150) and Neon-filled Tubes (U8482230). The equipment provides all the voltages needed to power the tubes and includes a sensitive DC amplifier for measuring collector current. The accelerating voltage can be either adjusted manually or derived from the supply unit as a continuously varying voltage. Additional measuring inputs are also available for the anode current and accelerating voltage.
